This drawing is based on the cairn outside our home, the musaeon glyph and my favorite series of constallations: Canis major, Orion, Taurus and the Pleiades. In a few words it represents the idea of honoring the creative muse and the journey of the artist.
A visioning station was a sacred pile of rocks on top of a mountain where young native americans would meditate on their future. They're very common in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon. Typically the rocks on the top of the cairn would point to sacred mountain peaks where other visioning stations were located.
